Winter Cider CSA
(sweet, non-alcoholic)
This winter, we did something we have been dreaming about for a while: a winter sweet cider CSA. What could be better than sipping on a cup of sweet non-alcoholic cider (cold or warmed up) in the middle of winter!
And as you already know, Scott Farm sweet cider is uniquely delicious: it’s fresh, raw (not pasteurized), and blends many different heirloom varieties. For this winter CSA, the cider will also be raw but we have added an interesting twist: each bottle of cider is of a single variety. In other words, you will be getting Roxbury Russet cider one week, Northern Spy the following, then Rhode Island Greening cider, and so on for 10 weeks. Doesn’t that make you curious and excited?
CSA nuts and bolts:
10 weeks - 10 different sweet ciders (59oz bottles)
Starting 1st week of February
$120 for the CSA share
Pickups on Thursdays at Scott Farm (if we have enough folks looking for pick ups in Brattleboro or Putney, we will organize a drop off)

The Roxbury Russet cider was out of this world. It was without question
the best cider I ever drank.
I grew up on an orchard in New Hartford, CT, one that my father started
planting in 1929. My brother Peter is running the farm as he has been for 20 years and his son Tim will take it over.
I called him with my Cider CSA report last evening and told my brother the first cider from Scott Farm was made from Roxbury Russets.
His reply: "Wow, they started at the top. It's the best cider apple
going. Drink it warm. It was a fall and winter drink 200 years ago."
Mary and I heated a cup in the microwave here in our kitchen in
Westminster West. It was SO GOOD, THE TASTES WERE SO MUCH RICHER THAN WHEN COLD."
