Shizuka
A large green and yellow Japanese apple, often with a red blush, that is similar to Mutsu. Sweet, crisp and juicy it is a favorite in our apple CSA. We won’t tell you how delicious it is so we can keep it all to ourselves. It might also be really tasty muddled with a splash of gin, Couintreau and lemon juice. Harvest on the first of October.
This apple is not an heirloom variety.
