Heirloom Apple Varieties

Ginger Gold

A completely underrated apple from the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia 1960’s; this early season apple is a true delight. Glowing lime green skin that gets dusted with a gentle rose blush on its shoulder delivers a refreshing late summer bite. After storage, Ginger Gold's flavor transitions to the most wonderful and surprising marzipan that will make you say “wow!” To be enjoyed fresh, and ideal in salads as the flesh is slow to oxidize and displays a crisp white longer than most. Available late August through our harvest season.

This apple is not an heirloom variety.
