A well known all around use apple. It has the best qualities of each of its parents, the McIntosh and the Red Delicious. A handsome red apple good for eating out of hand, it also makes a great crisp, and a good sweet cider apple. Harvests in mid-September.
This apple is not an heirloom variety.
