Some claim this apple originated in Massachusetts, though the exact origin is up to debate. What is important is that this apple often stood in for expensive and rare granulated sugar during the 1800’s. With high sugar content comes potent cider. A dry apple. Late bloomer and full cropper, well situated to northeast growing. We harvest in October.
