Gala
Gala is an aromatic apple and a favorite of children who visit the orchard. It has an orange color and a sweet, crisp flavor. According to the US Apple Association, the Gala is the most commercially grown apple in the country. This tends to be a smaller apple, just the right size for lunch boxes. Harvest begins early September.
